The Steep Hill

The downhill slopes
Help me the most
The wind on my face
It’s freeing in a way
And then, I turn right
To my own dear fright
A hill that’s so steep
My legs beg and weep
I make it halfway
But do mark that day
A challenge to fight
It’s not my last flight
I won’t forget that moment
When I faced that opponent
And made it to the top
Without needing to stop
Strength built up inside
It did take some time
I overcame the ride
And did so, with stride
